Atlantic Canada European Motorcycle Weekend 2006 Wrap-Up

The first Atlantic Canada European Motorcycle Weekend was recently held at the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside PEI on July 8th & 9th. The weather cooperated and there was a nice collection of European and other motorcycles at this years rally. Events included a static bike display, technical session on tires, a BMW motorcycle display, group rides and supper. Group rides were held on Saturday and Sunday with the only out of ordinary incidents reported were a BMW running out of gas and another BMW braking a clutch cable. Being BMW enthusiasts, they had the good sense to run out of gas by an Irving Station and break a clutch in front of a friend’s residence. Awards were presented based on the voting preferences of the rally attendees. The awards included:
